The film I choose to analyse although not a British production is Juno (2007 directed by Jason Reitman). It was difficult trying to find an existing British media text that hasn't already been used as there are only a few. Juno is similar to our production in the way that Juno is about a teenager who not only is pregnant but has to go through the hard times of adolescence. Although there are many differences between this film and our film '39 Weeks' I feel that this film was slightly influencial towards our decision to create '39 Weeks' due to its coming of age and pregnancy theme. Juno focuses more on the commical side of the issues faced during pregnancy and Juno, played by Ellen Page is the perfect character to do so with plently of sarcasic and witty comments along the way.
